HAIR TRANSPLANT

Fine and dense hair keeps a great place in the aesthetical integrity of person. Today, 70-80% of men worry about hair loss because of genetic causes. General hair loss or full hair loss at some areas carry physical, social and psychological problems and make person looking 5-10 years older. The reason of hair loss is connected with many but mostly (in men) hormonal causes which we call androgenetic type.

The most important solution to the hair loss today is hair transplant. Technical developments and increase of medical experiences showed itself also in hair plant field. Aesthetically fine results are being gained with micrograft technique.

This application which has been performed under local anesthesia and with an expert team takes 3-5 hours. Hair transplantation involves removing small pieces of hair-bearing scalp grafts in thin strips from the site behind the head and between two ears and relocating them to a bald area in smaller follicular.

Recovery after the healing varies between 4 and 7 days and new hair falls out in following 3-5 months. Transplanted hair is never lost to the end of life since hair taken from the area which we call donor (between two ears) have been programmed to not to be lost genetically.

Hair grafts contains adult hairs between 1 and 4 which are called follicular units. These hairs constitute follicular units having packed with a bunch of bandages. A great achievement is gained with respect to natural look in hair transplant by creating and planting grafts in follicular units.

Hair transplant has been developed firstly by Japanese dermatologist Dr. Shojk Okuda in 1939.

While look of person becomes 5-10 ages younger with a successful “hair follicular micro implementation”, person’s self-confidence shall increase and he/she shall feel stronger in relations which he/she occurred in social environments.

1500-2000 grafts can be received from the areas which we call donor area and they are converted in person’s head to 6000-8500 hairs.

It is necessary to decrease smoking, and not to use alcoholic beverages and drugs such as aspirin 2 weeks before the surgical procedure.

After the procedure, hair is washed with a special shampoo and self-care products and cared in 3rd day. Any stitches shall be removed in 10th day. After approximately 3 months, new hair falls out instead of lost hair and this state reaches its maximum level in 6 months. Person shall be able to get every application made to his/her hair and cut. These transplanted hairs shall never be lost to the end of his/her life.
